Amberly Wilson Collins is a lover of Jesus, her family, the to do list, and a good cup of coffee. She grew up as a preacher’s daughter in the Deep South where she learned that loving Jesus and loving people matter more than anything else, that there is an art to being a great hostess, and that manners are more telling about your upbringing than the dollars in your bank account.
She married Matt Collins, a good southern boy from a good family, as her momma likes to say, and together they have four children – two boys and twin girls. They make their home in Central Mississippi where the summers are hot and the tea is served cold and sweet. Matt is in the food industry and is the owner/operator of several restaurants. She is a fundraising consultant and event planner by trade, which allows her to use her God-given talents of connecting people and organizing details.
Writing has always been the easiest and fastest way to keep up with all the thoughts in her head, but let’s be honest, with four children if she doesn’t write it down, she will never remember it. After a nine-year fertility journey, she has a heart for women longing to be mommas and mommas like the one in the shoe with more children than they know what to do.
She enjoys traveling, Kay Arthur Bible studies, a good office supply store and anywhere she can use “ROY G BIV” as a means to color –coordinate. Join her on her daily quest to serve Jesus with gladness and to seek calm and order in her chaos.
