It’s finally socially acceptable to talk about CHRISTMAS! We’re totally kidding. If you started decorating at Halloween, girlfriend– you do you! But we thought we would hop on here and share some beautiful tree inspo and tips as a lot of people will pulling down the pumpkins and decking the halls this week.
-When in doubt, go simple. There’s nothing prettier to me than white lights, minimal ornaments, and some burlap ribbon.
Take it from Joanna Gaines. We may not all be able to fit a fresh 13 footer– but the simplicity is gorgeous. (above)
-Pick a color or theme and roll with it.
Don’t worry about being nontraditional. Make it your own. Pick a color and mix it with neutrals, or live your best life with pinks, purples, and glitter.
-Make a statement with over-sized ornaments.
-If you want to keep your traditional decor, have some fun with the topper.
-Surprise the kids with a fun, out of the box, family tree to decorate with a cool theme.
-Last but not least, spend the most time on the lights! Adding enough lights in the correct way will transform your tree decor!
This is my mom’s tree this year. We used a new technique (taught to us by the fabulous Lacie Roddy) to add lights like a Designer! To learn these light ninja tricks, tune in to our Facebook live this week for a demonstration. Check out Front Porch Frame of Mind on Facebook for more info!
We hope this inspired you to add some new flair to your tree this year. Please post pictures in the comment section so we can celebrate Decking the Halls with all our friends! Merry Christmas, yall!
